mixed experience but serious cleanliness issues
The staff made an effort to assist me during my brief visit, which I appreciated. I also noticed that the lobby had potential for a welcoming atmosphere if properly maintained. Additionally, I found the location convenient for accessing nearby attractions.

A stay to forget fast
I was welcomed by a potentially warm atmosphere, but it soon faded. The location seemed promising, yet appearances were deceiving.
From the moment I stepped in, the hotel was a disaster. The lobby was dirty, and the staff ignored my presence. Safety felt compromised with broken locks, and the room itself was musty and poorly maintained.

The lack of clean towels and the absence of a shower curtain made my stay uncomfortable. Taking a warm shower under these conditions was less than ideal.

What stands out – both good and bad
The front desk staff was friendly! but the rooms had stains on the bed covers.
The entire hotel reeked of unpleasant odors, and the bathtub was in poor condition.

The location felt safe, and the area was well-lit. The receptionist provided great service, being attentive and patient while checking in. The rooms were reasonably clean and my bed felt fresh. However, the bathroom fixtures seemed outdated, with a toilet nearly falling through the floor. I also noticed there were issues with a few outlets not functioning, and the room was lacking basic amenities like a hairdryer. The carpet was wet, which raised some concerns about maintenance. It was helpful to have Uber for nearby dining options, but the staff seemed unsure about local amenities.

Family not recommended
Well, I gotta tell ya, the staff were the only redeeming factor! They were actually pleasant and tried to help me, I asked for a remote for the TV since it wasn’t connected. The room was spacious enough, but that didn’t make up for all the other issues.
The price was steep considering the quality was lacking.

I had a brief stay, and the large room with a couch was a pleasant surprise, but I was disappointed to find the TV remote was missing. The cleaning was non-existent, and the bathroom had plumbing issues that were frustrating.

We had a pleasant time during our stay, particularly enjoying our visit to the nearby Mississippi Coliseum for a live show. The hotel was conveniently located, making it easy for us to explore the area. The staff were attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed, which was great with two young children.
In my wife’s opinion, the hotel could improve by offering more family-friendly amenities such as a larger play area for kids.

I recently stayed at OYO Townhouse in Jackson. While the lobby had an off-putting smell and cleanliness was concerning, the bed provided a good night's rest. The location is convenient for exploring the city, making my trip enjoyable despite some drawbacks.

The lobby presents a facade of charm, but this quickly dissipates upon encountering the unpleasant odor reminiscent of mildew and a filthy carpet that clearly hasn't seen a vacuum in ages. The room revealed broken curtains, an unclean tub, and a pervasive sense of neglect throughout, including the elevator, which reeked of weed. To top it off, the atmosphere felt unsafe with unfamiliar people wandering the halls, making it a deeply unsettling experience overall.
